LUKOIL became the first Russian company to receive international Sustainability Innovation Awards for organizing safe drinking water supply for the people who live in the Company's regions of operation in Iraq, Mexico, Uzbekistan and Russia. 

​​LUKOIL and Basra Oil Company signed a Supplementary Agreement to the contract on the development and production of oil at the West Qurna-2 field. The document​ provides for better conditions and prolongation of the service contract for 10 years, investments into further development of the project, and gradual increase of the field’s output.

​​LUKOIL Mid-East put into operation two new multi-well pads at the West Qurna-2 project in Iraq. The increase of output allows reaching the target production level of 480 thousand barrels per day in accordance to the Service Contract. ​

LUKOIL has produced one billion barrels of oil at West Qurna-2, Iraq, since the launch of commercial operation of the field. ​

Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq and Oil Minister received a delegation of PJSC LUKOIL in Baghdad. The parties discussed the progress of the West Qurna-2 project and Block-10, as well as prospects for cooperation in other areas in Iraq.

Managing Director of LUKOIL Mid-East Limited Egor Zubarev met Iraqi Minister of Oil Ihsan Abdul Jabbar in Baghdad.

As a part of the state visit of Vladimir Putin to UAE, Accession to the Ghasha Concession Agreement with a 5% share was signed by President of PJSC LUKOIL and Group CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). In additi​on LUKOIL and ADNOC signed a tripartite framework Agreement on future cooperation with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF, sovereign fund of the Russian Federation).​

​Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation visited the stand of PJSC LUKOIL at the World Energy Congress held in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of the Ministry of energy of the United Arab Emirates.

During his working trip to Basra Province Iraqi Minister of Oil Thamir Al-Ghadhban visited West Qurna-2 oilfield.
